Sleeping Beauty Dress

Sally got to wear her Sleeping Beauty Peasant dress today – she looked very Princess-y!  I can’t wait to get started on more princess-inspired dresses!!

Strippy Quilt Quilted!

Just finished quilting the Strippy Quilt.  I was going to do straight line stitching – but I decided to just stipple the whole thing instead.  I think I like it better that way – otherwise it might have felt too linear – this way it feels super cozy!

Skinny Strips Quilt

I love this Skinny Strips Quilt.  You can download the pattern for free HERE.

I found this version on Pinterest from Steph’s Stuff. – I love her colors and her quilting.
This is my quilt top.  I just finished piecing it together.  It is from Moda’s Fandango line.  Today I am quilting it.  I think I will use straight line quilting like in the example above.

This is how fun it is to sew with a Bengal cat.  As soon as anything goes on the floor – he’s in it.  I have to lock him in a room while I pin baste a quilt!  The videos are pretty funny too!

Rapunzel Tote Bag

I sewed this Rapunzel tote bag for a birthday gift for a girl who loves purple & pink & Rapunzel.  It’s the perfect size for taking to the beach or to a slumber party!

Sleeping Beauty Peasant Dress

I finished the Sleeping Beauty Peasant Dress. I love how it turned out. I used the Simplicity pattern and added a skirt puff, a little collar and a little lace on the bottom.

Girl’s Camp T-Shirts

The First Year Girls going to camp got together and we made these shirts. The theme is Arise & Shine. We are using sunshine to represent the 1st year girls. The girls drew the shapes on Heat Bond, then ironed it to the fabric, cut it out, and ironed it on their shirts. I sewed around all the shapes with grey thread. Then we stenciled the word Shine in grey paint! Cute!

More Pyrex!

I found these two darlings at the Goodwill. My Pyrex collection is comming right along. I love the size of these bowls – I have used them a ton since buying them on Monday! I can’t wait for my next find!!

Snow White Peasant Dress

I saw this idea on Pinterest – Disney Princess inspired peasant dresses. I almost could not sleep until I tried one. We put on the Snow White movie and my little princess and I watched it and sewed this Snow White Peasant Dress. It turned out cute – usually I like to make a test dress, but I just went for it on this one. I used the Simplicity 5695 pattern. I made the size 5 – next time I think I will make the size 6.

She has been wearing these red glasses all day – we even went to a restaurant with them on!

Retro Cupcake Apron

Judy, from Sprizzie, and I shared some cupcake making ideas last night at our Relief Society meeting. Of course we NEEDED matching cupcake aprons for the presentation! This is what I came up with. It is the Simplicity 3949 pattern.

I added ric rac and the ruffle to cute it up! I love the fabric & the colors – it’s so retro feeling. It’s my new favorite apron!
