I am so in love with Tasha Noel’s newest fabric, Pixie Noel!

Screen Shot 2016-05-23 at 9.51.51 PM I created this little mini quilt for her to hang in her Quilt Market booth.  You can purchase this quilt pattern as a PDF download in my Etsy shop.IMG_8371 Her booth was the cutest!

The mini quilt features iron-on applique ornaments and letters and a scrappy pieced border.IMG_7484

I quilted it in swirls to look like swirling snow.  This is the perfect size to sew up for yourself or for gifts!  You can get a jump on your Christmas list!!IMG_7501

Today, on the Sizzix blog, I am sharing one of my favorite little projects to sew: Kitchen Towels!  Hop on over there for the full tutorial!

sizzix bunny towel 5 Kitchens usually don’t have a lot of wall space or places to hang quilts or cute crafty projects.  I love hanging home made towels on my oven, it gives the kitchen that cozy feeling!  Theses sweet towels also make the perfect gift!  Who wouldn’t want one of these!  I choose some of my favorite Riley Blake Fabric Prints from some of my favorite designers.  sizzix bunny towel 10

I am also using my most favorite Sizzix Bunny Die (I’m sure I’ve said that many times!!)  I love using my Sizzix Fabi to cut these bunnies!  It’s so fast and easy!

And you can die cut several at one time!

I could cut these bunnies out all day long!  They are so much fun and oh so cute when they are leaping all over!

I used my ruffling foot to sew the ruffle – this is also a time saver!

I used Heat n Bond Lite to fuse the bunny.  I also used my new Oliso Pro iron.  It’s a dream!!!

My latest Pyrex find

These are my latest vintage Pyrex finds when I went thrifting over the winter break.  It’s a large oval casserole in spring flowers and then a divided casserole in square flowers verde.  They are in great condition too!!  I paid $5 each!!!

Pyrex Love from the Goodwill

I stopped by the Goodwill today.  What did I find on a cart they just wheeled out?  These three bowls!  I almost couldn’t believe it – I never have this good of luck!!  These two aqua ones are the large and medium Amish print Cinderella mixing bowls and the brown one is the American Heritage medium Cinderella mixing bowl.  I love this one because it has a cat on it!!

Prices you ask???  The large bowl was $3.99 and the two medium size ones were $2.99 each….which I could NOT believe because I have paid $5 for a small Pyrex piece there!  Now I just need hubby to build me shelves to house all my Pyrex!!

Antiquing in Utah!

I just got back from spending a week in Utah with my husband’s family.  It was a jam-packed week for sure!  I managed to squeeze in a few minutes of antique shopping looking for vintage Pyrex.  I am excited about my finds!!  I have been looking for a pink piece for my collection & I was so excited to find this pink gooseberry bowl!  The red & blue bowls are actually ones my Mother-in-law gave me from her collection!

I love this green and blue casserole dish too!  I haven’t seen this print before.

I love these two divided casserole dishes with lids – they are my first pieces with decorative lids!  I got the yellow one for $5 and the green one for $6!!

I came across this vintage metal bread box and I fell IN LOVE!!  It will be perfect on top of my fridge – looks so cute in my kitchen!!

Thrifty

I had almost given up shopping at the Good Will.  In fact, I haven’t been there for over a month!  We are starting to gather items for Halloween costumes, so I took the children there today.  Look what I found!  My first pink piece of Pyrex!  I couldn’t believe it!  It was on one of those carts they had just wheeeled out!  It isn’t in perfect shape – but it will do!  Yea!!

I also picked up these cute apple bowls – five for $6.

And I LOVE these retro glass rectangle dishes!  They were two for $3.

Look what just arrived in the mail!

These darling Pyrex bowls just arrived at my door – courtesy of ebay where I was the highest bidder!

I am in love!  I don’t have these sizes yet – they will add to my growing collection!

More Pyrex!

I found these two darlings at the Goodwill. My Pyrex collection is comming right along. I love the size of these bowls – I have used them a ton since buying them on Monday! I can’t wait for my next find!!
