Heirloom Silverwear Display

I found this idea on Write. Click. Scrapbook. It is such a great idea!I got out some of my heirloom silver pieces and made one in about 5 minutes. I used scrapbook paper and cardboard for the back. I marked the places the wire needed to go to hold the silver then drilled small holes through the paper/cardboard. I used thin wire to hold the pieces in place. I have it hanging in the kitchen and it makes me happy to look at it.

Little Girl Birthday Gift

My daughter made this darling owl cross stitch and we sewed it into a bookmark. (I made 5 of these book marks for book club as gifts.) The elastic goes around the book, then attaches to the button so the bookmark never falls out!

Then we made a cute cross-body purse out of matching fabric. These are my favorite to make. I’ve got to make me one 🙂

Fabric Bird Wall Art

I saw this post at “Like the Rain” and I had to make it! I wanted it for Valentine’s Day so I put all my cute red/pink fabrics to use. I love it – it makes me happy to look at it! Did you know I love fabric!!
I bought my frame at the GW (of course). Isn’t it a lovely picture! I dismantled it then roughed up all the edges. I tied some picture hanging wire in it and then hung the birds.
I cut the birds out of a cereal box and glued the fabric.

End of the Year Teacher Gifts

One of Ella’s teachers is a boy – so I didn’t know what to give him. He has a 2-yr old, so I thought I would whip up one of the “sally” dresses – turned out cute – he loved it!For Ella’s other teacher, I made a cute quilted zippered bag. It was my first time quilting – I had several problems with it – but in the end it turned out darling.
Ella made some bottle cap pendants to go inside the purse – I love these.

Halloween Craft Day

Thanks for stopping by!  I have received many questions about this project.  For more information and an updated tutorial on this project click HERE.

Today we got together and made Halloween luminaries – so fun!
First we mixed white glue and colored craft paint and painted the inside of glass jars.

Then we decorated the outside of the jars with black vinyl Halloween motifs cut on the Cricut….they are starting to look spooky! Then we put candles in them and…….
…turned out the lights! They are so cute and very spooky!!
